If you decide to commission me I will ask you for an initial
deposit of £100. I will then produce a number of designs and fabric
selections based on our initial discussions. We will probably need to meet
to adjust these & agree the final design.
At this stage I will give you a firm quotation and I will ask you for a further
deposit totalling 1/3rd of that so that I can order your fabrics. We will
agree a timetable of fittings and take your measurements.
Initially I will cut & make up the gown in toile (cotton ) so that we
can check the detailed design & fit.
Once you are happy I will cut the dress in the selected fabric & fit it
again part stitched & tacked.
You will need a Main Fitting when the gown is almost finished.
The final fitting and collection are usually 1-2 weeks before the wedding.

It will take about 3 months, including 4 or 5 meetings or
fittings, to complete your Wedding Gown once we have agreed the design and
chosen the fabrics. We could do it in less time but it would cost more &
pose greater risks. However, there is nothing to stop you ordering your gown
many months beforehand.
Ideally, we should meet to discuss your ideas well in advance of the final
3 months. I will show you my portfolio of previous designs and a wide selection
of fabric samples. We will discuss these in outline so that I understand your
requirements.
